Frequently asked questions

30 honest answers about buying, receiving and getting your money back — written by the same people who answer misteryjj100@gmail.com. If yours is not here, that address replies within one business day.

Buying & payment

Currencies, cards, coupons and invoices.

No. Checkout works perfectly well as a guest — you enter your name and an email address, pay, and your access links arrive in that inbox within a minute.

An account is still worth 20 seconds of your time, because every course you buy while signed in is listed permanently in your library. If the receipt email ever gets lost, deleted or filtered, the links are still there.

All major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard and American Express — plus Apple Pay and Google Pay where your device and browser support them. Everything is processed on our provider's secure payment page.

We do not currently accept PayPal, cryptocurrency, bank transfer or purchase orders for single-course purchases. For team and company purchases we can invoice; email our sales address and we will set it up.

Every price on this store is in US dollars and is charged in US dollars. There is no subscription and no recurring charge — you buy a course once.

If your card is issued in another currency, your bank converts at its own rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee. That fee is set and kept by your bank; we never see it. Any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

We never see it. Payment happens on a secure page hosted by our payment provider, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified company, and your card number, expiry and security code go straight to them.

What comes back to us is the card brand, the last four digits, and the identifiers we need to issue a refund later. There is no card number in our database to lose.

Yes. Subscribers to our weekly email get codes before anyone else, and we run seasonal sales a few times a year.

Enter the code in the coupon box on the cart page and the discount is applied to your subtotal before you go to checkout. One coupon per order, and coupons cannot be added retroactively to an order that has already been paid.

Yes. A payment receipt is issued automatically and it is linked from your order page. If your finance team needs a proper invoice with a company name, address and tax details on it, email support with your order number and the billing details, and we will send one the same business day.

If you are buying for several people at once, ask us about a team licence before you check out — it is usually cheaper than buying multiple copies.

Delivery & access

How courses reach you, and how long you keep them.

Immediately. The moment your payment clears we email a receipt containing an access link and a 16-character access code for every course in the order. In practice that is under a minute.

If you were signed in when you bought, the same links appear straight away in your library.

First check your spam, junk or promotions folder — an email full of links from a shop you just met is exactly what a filter is suspicious of. Add our support address to your contacts and it will not happen again.

If 15 minutes have passed and there is still nothing, email support with your order number, or with the email address and approximate amount if you cannot find it. We re-send within one business day and usually within the hour.

On our course library at library.wisdomcharms.com. This store handles the catalog, the cart and the payment; the library serves the videos, written material, code and downloads behind your access link.

That is why there is no video player on this site and no progress bar: we sell you the access, then get out of your way.

It means for as long as we offer the course, with no renewal, no expiry date and no extra payment — and that is genuinely our intention for every course we publish.

Occasionally a course has to be retired, usually because the technology it teaches has been replaced or an API has been shut down. If we retire a course you own we give at least 90 days notice by email and make the downloadable material available first.

Written guides, prompt packs, cheat sheets, source code and project files are downloadable — keep them forever, on any machine. The resource count on each course page tells you how much comes with it.

Video lessons are streamed rather than downloadable, which is how we keep courses affordable and keep them updated in place.

A purchase is a licence for one person, and access links are personal — treat one like a password. Sharing links is the one thing that will get an account closed.

Teams, bootcamps and classrooms are genuinely welcome though: we sell team and internal-training licences and they are not expensive. Email our sales address with roughly how many people and which courses.

Refunds

The 14-day guarantee, in practice.

A 14-day money-back guarantee on everything we sell. If a course is too basic, too advanced, not what you expected or simply not what you need right now, that is a good enough reason.

Email support within 14 days of your purchase with your order number and we refund to the card you paid with. No form, no interrogation, no restocking fee.

Yes. Everything is covered — $1 micro-guides, $199 flagship courses, bundles, and anything bought with a coupon or in a sale. We refund what you actually paid.

There is no exclusion for content you have already opened or downloaded. You cannot judge a course without looking at it.

Send one email to our support address with your order number — it looks like WC-2A7F4C91 and it is at the top of your receipt and next to every order in your account.

Tell us which course if the order had more than one. Telling us why is optional, it will not change the answer, and it is the single most useful thing anyone sends us.

We reply within one business day and submit the refund to our payment provider the same day we approve it. They process it immediately.

Your bank then takes 5 to 10 business days to post it to your statement, and that part is entirely out of our hands. If it has been more than 10 business days, reply to our confirmation email and we will send you the refund reference to give to your bank.

The access link and code for that course stop working and the course leaves your library. The licence ends, so the course material is no longer yours to keep or use.

Anything you built while you had it — an app, a script, your own prompt library — is yours and stays yours. Your account stays open, along with any other course you own, and you are welcome to buy the course again later.

We refund duplicates in full at any time, not just inside the 14-day window. Send us both order numbers and we will sort it out.

Same if you bought the wrong course by mistake: tell us which one you meant, and if you would rather swap than wait for the bank, we can put the value straight onto the correct course.

Courses & content

What is inside, who wrote it, and who it is for.

Working engineers — people who ship the thing they are teaching. Every course has a named instructor with a public profile, a headline and a list of what they actually do for a living.

Nothing is outsourced to a content mill, and no course goes live until someone other than the author has built every project in it from scratch.

Beginner to intermediate. If you can install a compiler or a runtime and open a terminal, there is something here for you; if you have five years of production experience you will find the advanced modules more useful than the fundamentals.

Every course page shows a level badge and a Requirements list. Read the requirements before you buy — they are honest, and they are the fastest way to know whether a course fits.

All six, at beginner and intermediate level, plus Python, Rust and Go. The language rail on the home page links straight into the filtered catalog for each one.

Language courses sit mostly in Programming Languages, Systems & Low-Level, Game Development and Web Development, so you can also come at them from the kind of software you want to build rather than the syntax you want to learn.

No, and that is a deliberate choice. A certificate from a store nobody has heard of does not move a hiring manager, and pretending otherwise would be selling you something that is not real.

What our courses give you instead is a finished project, the code for it, and the ability to explain how it works. That is what gets you through an interview.

Some AI and prompt-engineering courses use a commercial model provider. Where that is the case it is stated in the Requirements section of the course page before you buy.

Most exercises are designed to work on a free tier or for a couple of dollars of usage, and where a free open-weights alternative exists we show it. We do not resell API credits and we get nothing from those providers.

Every course card shows its total duration and lesson count — most sit between two and twelve hours of material, and prompt packs are designed to be used in an afternoon. There is no schedule and no cohort; you work at your own pace.

Courses are updated in place as languages, frameworks and models change, and every update is included in what you already paid. You do not buy a version, you buy the course.

Account & support

Signing in, finding your orders, and reaching a human.

Use the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in page. We email a reset link that is valid for 60 minutes; open it and choose a new password.

If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then email support and we will help. We cannot tell you your old password — it is stored as a one-way hash and nobody here can read it.

Orders, receipts and refund status live under Orders in your account. Every course you own, with its access link and access code and a one-click copy button, lives in your library.

Both are also in the receipt email we sent you when you bought.

Yes. Register using the same email address you used at checkout and we will attach the earlier orders to the new account.

If they do not appear straight away, email support with the order numbers and we will link them manually the same business day.

Email is the fastest route and it reaches a person, not a bot. We answer every message within one business day, usually far sooner, in English.

The contact form on this site goes to exactly the same inbox, so use whichever you prefer. Include your order number if your question is about a purchase and you will get an answer in one round trip instead of three.

There is a one-click unsubscribe link at the foot of every issue. It works immediately and we do not ask you to sign in or fill in a survey first.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not stop transactional email — receipts, access links and refund confirmations still arrive, because those are part of the purchase.

Yes. Email support and we will close the account and delete or anonymise your data within 30 days.

We are legally required to keep order and payment records for tax purposes, so those are retained — we will tell you exactly what is kept and why. If you are inside the refund window, request the refund before you ask us to close the account.

Still stuck? Ask us directly.

There is no support ticket system to fight with and no chatbot to get past. Email goes to a person, and that person replies within one business day — including before you buy, when “will this course actually help me?” is the only question that matters.

The WisdomCharms dispatch

One useful email a week. No fluff, no spam.

New course releases, discount codes before anyone else, and a short, practical breakdown of one technique — a prompt pattern, a C++ idiom, a TypeScript trick — that you can use the same day.
